We have an emotional disaster that is sweeping the world at a large scale in imagined proportions. I call it the end of relational love as we know it. I write to tell you that in the face of the doom and gloom listed below, here is a solution. If you carefully pay attention to the sentences and phrases that will follow you will pick up your gem stone and even bring better solutions to the communities around you.
The world relational structures from family to nation are wiped out as in biblical floods and no one has been trained to have this kind if emotional disaster readiness. Our psychological experts have never been trained for this kind of disaster; for they are also falling victims. It is the end of relational love as we know it.
The digital emotional icons or the emoticons (emojis) have taken over. The Facebook friend requests and likes have changed the whole relational infrastructure.
“Researchers have revealed that we make nearly 400 friendships in a lifetime – but maintain only a handful. We form an average of 396 personal relationships but only 33, one in 12, will stand the test of time” – Friends who last a lifetime; Daily Mail UK
We want to have 10 000 friends and 3 Million followers on social media. The profit rush has stolen our very love nature in the way God has created it. Technology has responded well to the intellect but has failed the soul and the spirit aspect of our being. We want to move from 400 friendships in a lifetime to 2 Million friendships and this is impossible!
The fourth industrial revolution shows that our intellectual life has been filled with color by scientists and technologists. The same cannot be said with our emotional life which has become black and white or dull. We have lost the science of relationship at one stage humans were highly developed emotionally and spiritually, the loss of this reality has brought the end of relational love as we know it.
The church life of which I am part of it in a great way has settled for a highly supernatural and miraculous experience which has the total absence of love. Everyone seem to have come to get more than to give and the place that was once a spiritual family has become a huge trade center that has become completely void of true Godly relationships.
Nations have become profit driven to the point of obliterating other nations. The first world war and the second world war were a reflection of a race for profits and war proved to be a shortcut. In war you annex a country overnight, in revolutions you own large corporations overnight. When innovation and creativity is gone war can help a country get profits overnight.
Slave trade was one sign of lack of entrepreneurship, a short cut to profit. Genocides of nations meant to remove a large community of other human beings and take over their possessions. Both the prospects of huge profits and the absence thereof has broken many families and friendships. Human beings have lost the abundance within that enables them to be profitable without taking from the other.
The internet community began as people who share broad knowledge that will enrich mankind; but today it is only flooded with information of how to make profit. We have entered into the economy of scarcity and we has lost the economy of abundance. Along with this experience we have come face to face with the end of relational love as we know it.
But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 2 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 AMP
Humanity was designed to overcome this whole experience; the high rate of crime; the xenophobic and discrimination attacks; violence against women and children. What we see as the end of the world as we know it can also be the beginning of new life as we have not known it. What we see as end of love as we know it can be the beginning of love as we have not known it.
There is a new way, Jesus calls it the new commandment and we shall discuss it in the other sessions when God give us time. When we take this new way we shall be freed from the profit rush of the world of scarcity and enter in the sweatness innovation and creativity of the world of abundance as it is designed within us. We can bring back colour to our soul and spirit without losing colour in our intelect.
John 13:34-35 Amplified Bible (AMP)34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you [a]love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.”
Our life as we have wanted it is taking the world to an end. We see it with the end of love as we know it. The Bible is bringing us to the New Beginnings and we shall see the beginning of love as we have never known it. We have caused difficult times ahead but today you can change this downward spiral and have a new beginning. I said in my previous session we have known ourselves in the wrong way. Let us know ourselves afresh as well as our neighbor afresh and we shall see abundance for everyone.
