It is the end of the year. Question1: What have we accomplished?
Question2: What are the instruments we use to measure our accomplishments.
Hint: There are things we are all sent to do each year and they are the reason we are still granted time to live.
There are three common assignments that we all have as humanity. I want you to weigh yourself against these three common assignments.
We are all sent to this realm to give Love, Faith and Hope. It does not matter whether you are a Billionaire or Beggar. This is the assignment of the entire human race and in a while I will prove to you that we all have the tools to do this assignment.
No one can blame God for not having the resources for this assignment.
My question is to you: Have you given Love, Faith and Hope in 2019? This looks like a good article title. But seriously have you given any of these three this year? If you have done so you are on God’s side. If you haven’t?
I had the pleasure of meeting an Angel of God every morning at corner Stanley street and Brackenfell Boulevard who knew his assignment too well. He is a newspaper vendor, Shane Pietersen, who light the whole street corner with a smile. He walks like a president. He greets everyone in a way that only he can do it. Every driver there is yearning for his greeting. He is more present in that corner than any flashy car. Whether it rains or freezing cold, he carries more confidence than anyone. He is distributing Love, Faith and Hope in his God given best way. I will be spending more time talking about this awesome man. I want you to weigh yourself against him and see what you have done this year.
I said earlier to you if you have given Love Faith and Hope you are on God’s side. If you have not you still have 30 more days to do that from the writing of this article to the end of the year 2019. I am inviting you to take this moment with me and journey with me to this Boulevard Corner and meet this Newspaper Vendor. I want you to to get what I got this whole year from this mighty man. He is hired to sell newspapers but no, he knows just too well what people need; Love Faith and Hope. I picked him because he is on God’s side. I am honored to be writing about him. Later in my blog I will show the man in action sometime.
I have met this Angel known to his job as a Newspaper Vendor, Shane Pietersen, but he knows his assignment too well. Every morning he stands at the most frustrating robot with traffic jam. Every driver there forgets the traffic jam and look forward to his greeting. He distributes Love Faith and Hope to many drivers who are on their way to most depressing jobs while thinking their debts. God could not have sent a better Angel. Many in those air conditioned cars, some executives, are taking Hatred, Fear and Despair to their workplaces. They boast of their conquests and newly acquired business deals. God however has Angel’s like this planted in every insignificant corner achieving more than we do.
I am weighing myself against Shane, he is my pacer in this race of assignment to humanity. I am a writer and motivator but he has done much more. Do you know anyone who you regard as less favored than you who is bigger than life? Someone who inspires you greatly? I have seen home administrators who clean houses and raise children on behalf of their employers but also giving Love Faith and Hope to the entire family. I have seen cashiers who will have clients flocking to their queues because of the warmth they have which is the only warmth the customer will ever find. This man of our story in one sentence is saying to the drivers: cheer up all will be well.
I hate to steal your thunder. Congratulations on your big achievements this year. You have brought many votes for your party. You have brought a new business to the table. Your church members have doubled this year. You have a breakthrough in your academic research. Much more a new car a new property. Ask yourself this: Has my accomplishments brought Love Faith and Hope to mankind?
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

There is still a month to go and we can finish the year.
In our quest to win we make others loose love, faith and hope. Our celebrations are short lived because one relationship lost is one too many. Our systems have become less relational. We are not perfect at times we lose relationships because we win cases. Though we can’t please them all, let us not pride ourselves in losing relationships. Love, Faith and Hope are ingredients of relationships. In a nutshell our great assignment is to relate. God is Love. Therefore God is Relationship. What have we accomplished this year? I ask again.
I want to close with the words of a great man ever to live in our realm. One day he gave a hint of what he came to do in the world. In a nutshell He said: Do not seek to win a case, win your brother instead. That was too simplistic. Let me take you to the sacred secret of His mission as He spoke to His followers. To Him, Brotherhood or Sisterhood or Relationship was bigger than any problem: DON’T LOSE RELATIONSHIP. In a nutshell He said. Let us go to that scripture.
“Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

GAIN A BROTHER GAIN THE RELATIONSHIP
From where Jesus came from, their judiciary was not based on Adversarial Systems like ours. It was based on Relational System. It was not about winning a case. It was about winning Brotherhood. Simplified: “Nose, do not win a case against Hand, WIN THE BODY” Keep the Body Intact. Keep Love, Faith and Hope. Keep Relationship. Keep Brotherhood. Keep Sisterhood. As the year is coming to an end, go win friends and colleagues. Never celebrate a downfall of your own.
It looks like the Mafia heard this Man. The Secret Societies listened to Him. All those who keep Brotherhood and Sisterhood Rule the world. Don’t celebrate your win if you have lost a friend, a colleague at work or a member in your movement or church. Poverty of mind celebrates a downfall of a brother hoping to gain his position or salary. I encourage you to follow the example of this Great Man. He revealed a secret: I was sent to this realm to GAIN A BROTHER. Happy Festive Season to you all.
